In honor of Bishop Breen and to support the St. Magdalen community, the Knights of Columbus are proud to offer four scholarships to eligible candidates.
Guidelines and eligibility requirements:
- Two five hundred dollar scholarships will be awarded to graduating high school seniors for the purposes of defraying college costs.
- A two hundred and fifty dollar scholarship shall be awarded to a student planning to attend a Catholic high school.
- Scholarships mentioned under items one and two shall be awarded to students who are members of St. Magdalen’s parish.
- The high school scholarship mentioned in item two above may only be won once by any candidate.
- If an eligible candidate for these scholarships is not available, these scholarships shall accrue to the following year.
- All applicants and their representatives shall submit an application no later than June 30th, 2019. Late entries shall not be accepted. Only one application needs to be submitted.
- Scholarship winners will be selected by a committee drawn from the membership of the Knights of Columbus Council 3294. Scholarship winners shall be announced July 15th, 2020.
- Scholarship recipients must enroll in an accredited college in the fall of 2020 for at least twelve semester hours.
- Checks to the recipients shall be made jointly to the student and the school of their choice.
